Job description

Reporting to the Southern West Africa Area MD, the position of Angola Country Manager requires strong commercial leadership qualities to drive growth and profitability in a complex yet interesting business environment with many business opportunities. The role leads the organization in Angola, managing a team of approximately 30 people across different locations Luanda, Lobito and Cabinda

To design and drive an effective commercial strategy in Angola for both Ocean and Logistics & services.

To drive growth and profitability for in Angola along with cost and efficiency improvements.

To lead the organization ensuring all commercial, operational and financial targets are met.

Continually manage key stakeholders and customers relations as well as cost and efficiency improvements in the Area.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities

Proven and demonstrated commercial competency with specific emphasis on sales and financial acumen;

Business development skills;

On the ground experience within a Portuguese African country would be highly beneficial;

Collaborative, outgoing and convincing personality;

Result oriented and excellent communication and decisionmaking skills with sense of urgency;

Able to align objectives with business strategy in order to ensure all agreed targets are met;

Proven ability to interact with senior management of various stakeholders including government bodies;

Portuguese intermediate or advanced level will be a plus.

Education and experience

At least 5 years’ experience in leadership role within logistics & services industry.
